DDR Prime

This blend does not get a lot of attention as it should. May be wondering what does DDR Prime stands for, DDR stands for Damaged DNA Repair. Lets go over a little more what this entails. DDR Prime is a proprietary blend of CPTG (Certified Pure Tested Grade™) essential oils that help protect the body against oxidative stress to cellular DNA.

To understand why our body needs to have support against oxidative stress we need to understand what free radicals are first.

This is an oxidant and a free radical is an unstable molecule with one or more unpaired electrons. We have a lot in our body. They are created as part of normal processes from stress, illnesses, cellular stress, eating, breathing, exercising, etc., it's something we all have. We have issues when we have too many. External free radical are produced from smoking, sunlight, pollution, radiation, toxins, etc. Excess oxidative stress causes us to age faster. It breaks down on a cellular level and even causes the skin to look older.

Antioxidants is a molecule that has an extra electron, it can donate to a free radical to neutralize and stable that molecule. Think of it like a free radical is a molecule that's gone to the dark side. The antioxidant stabilizes that radical of a molecule. Some antioxidants are made inside the body and that’s called endogenous and exogenous is from the outside of the body from foods we eat. While antioxidants are found in abundance in many whole foods, it is often difficult to get the amount and specific types of antioxidants our body needs for peak cellular health. The DDR Prime oil and the DDR Prime softgels contain the exact same blend. Depends on individual preference to take either the oil internally in a glass of water or a drop under your tongue or the softgel.

BioSEEK is a research firm that does research on different products, on a chemical level, on a cellular level. And we knew we wanted to do research on exactly what DDR Prime does when it's placed on cells. doTERRA commissioned a large-scale study, looking at what DDR Prime, and some other oils were doing on a cellular level. BioSEEK's research has shown that DDR prime was actually working better for some very major health concerns, than a lot of the pharmaceutical options that are out there in the marketplace.

As you look at this, what you're seeing is that we needed to do more than just a layer of cells in a petri dish. Which is the typical in vitro study you might read about. BioSEEK was actually able to create a cellular model. And that's what you're seeing here in this picture that combines abnormal cells, immune cells, which are the PBMC, that you see there on the top right. Connective tissue, or Fibroblasts, and Endothelial cells, which are the blood vessels. BioSeek created a little organism, if you will. It mimics closely to what's happening in a complex organism like us as humans. So, lots of things interacting at once, and we wanted to see what is the impact, what's going on.

There is a little bit of mystery here as to how oils support the immune system. What doTERRA and BioSEEK has figured out that it's done through signaling and it's done through communication. Cells have a communication pathway. What we want to know, in short, on the cellular level, when we introduce the essential oils in this mixture how they communicate in the communication pathways in-between cells. And so let's listen to how the cells are talking.

This is the research graph, it is based on DDR Prime. It looks complicated, but it's actually not. There are two areas to look at. First is the gray area, this is the Control area, it represents what happens if there's little or no change to the cells. Second is the red line. This represents what happened after we added the DDR prime into the cellular environment. If the red line goes above the gray area, this means there was an increase in certain proteins being produced. If the red line goes below the gray area, it means a decrease in proteins were produced. The whole point of this, is we're looking at how things change. It was studying the presence of abnormal cells along with the connective tissue, the immune cells, and the inflammatory condition that had been introduced, and remember that this represents a complex system, like we'll find in any organism. So, in the control area, the abnormal cells block the normal immune response that is required to get rid of the abnormal cells. That is one of the survival mechanisms of such conditions. Those peaks that you see along the top show that the DDR prime brought the immune response back up. It also showed that the abnormal cells signal to recruit more blood supply, this was huge.

Roseman University Research

Further research was presented by Roseman University in Henderson, Nevada from Dr. Talbot.

" We found that each of the doterra oils had quantifiable and reproducible biological activity. To our surprise, however, was that we could not replicate the biological effects by breaking down the oil and administering its purified constituents. In a sense, we tried to synthetically build identical, essential oils with no success." [2]

The modern medical community would like to break apart the oil and just use the compounds, synthesized them, because then they can turn it into a medication and market it at a crazy profit. And that's the system that we're in. And it's fine, but they found out it didn't work. OK, you actually have to have the whole oil.

Continuing in the collection of studies, the Roseman University team observed what they call, "The Oil Effect": that the dōTERRA essential oils tested have therapeutically-relevant cellular effects in many physiological, scientifically-validated research models. They also observed that the effects of dōTERRA essential oils were not replicated by administration of individual components within the oil itself, suggesting that the biological effects of dōTERRA essential oils are a property of the whole oil. Frankincense, for example, we know is incredible in so many ways, but for years, people have tried to break it into pieces, and it just doesn't work.

"At the dōTERRA Annual Global Meeting, Drs. Le and Talbot shared that the findings from the molecular profiling of essential oils by nanofluidic proteomics confirmed that dōTERRA potently induced therapeutically-relevant signaling pathways in cell growth and rejuvenation, metabolic health, and healthy inflammatory responses. These proteomic profiling studies further confirmed that the effects of dōTERRA essential oils were not replicated by a single major component and essential oils from different competitors had minimal effects." [4]

Dr. Le and Talbot unbeknownst to us, they got online ordered products from doTERRA, just like anyone else, and had them shipped to them, and did this study over a two year period.

“Dr. Le’s data suggest that human cells know the difference between a naturally sourced oil and an adulterated or synthetically constructed oil and that this difference can be detected using the cell’s own physiology,” said Dr. Talbot. “In this sense, Dr. Le’s methodology and approach represent a biochemical lie detector test, a physiological polygraph.” [5]

Ultimately, at the end of the day, what we're looking for to create is something called Cellular Stasis. We have the creation of cells, that's Biogenesis, we have the death of cells that's Apoptosis. And that balance ensures that we are functioning properly and when we get out of balance, if you have cells that don't die when they're supposed to or aren't being recreated properly, then we have a challenge. DDR prime is going to help us have that cellular stasis.
