DIY Personal Aroma
Each individual has a unique body chemistry where the same ingredients can have a completely different aroma to each body. That being said each oil interacts to our own body chemistry making your own unique scent.
You do not have to shell out hundreds and hundreds of dollars to have that unique perfume or cologne, instead why not create your own unique scent - specifically designed by you for you. My favorite part is going to a hobby store and picking out my perfume bottle. There are so many different styles to suit your needs. With doTERRA essential oils they are the most tested and most trusted, does not contain any synthetics, additives or fillers, they are 100% pure nothing added or taken away just as nature intended, backed up by CPTG (Certified Pure Theraputic Grade).
Why would you want to spray chemicals directly onto your skin?
That’s what happens when you spray perfumes! They may smell good, but they’re full of chemicals that can be absorbed into your skin.
Create your own pure-fume with a layered aroma that’s toxin-free or create a personalized solid perfume blend. Just pick your notes and mix them in a glass jar or small container for your own personal fragrance.
And no, you don’t have to be a master perfumer to do so! Essential oils can help create a unique scent that can have all the heads turning at your next party (in a good way).
To create your unique blend, you must learn the different “notes” associated with each essential oil. Every oil is considered to be either a top, middle, or base note oil. Top note oils tend to be lighter and airy, where their fragrance is more dominant but not nearly as long-lasting as a base note oil.
The base note is just that. It’s meant to be the base of your blend, creating a sustainable scent that has a longer-lasting aroma. Middle note oils hang out in the middle to create a delicate balance between the two; middle note oils are usually considered the heart of the fragrance. [1]

These essential oil cologne recipes have been tried and tested by both men and women, and have unanimously been given two thumbs up. Feel free to switch up the oils to make your own personal blend. These recipes are approximately 20 percent oil and 80 percent carrier oil based. If you want a stronger scent, you can make it a 30:70 ratio. The cologne recipes below are for a 10 mL bottle. [2]
EARTHY SPICE Ingredients 10 drops Clove oil 20 drops Siberian Fir oil 40 drops Bergamot oil 5 drops Lemon oil doTERRA Fractionated Coconut Oil Tip: A dropper may be helpful in order for you to get the exact amount.
Instructions
Place all essential oils in empty 10 mL roll-on bottle.
Add Fractionated Coconut Oil to fill remainder of bottle.
Attach roll-on cap and shake until combined.
Let mixture sit for 24 hours before use.
Apply cologne to wrists for best results.
Tip: To see if you like the scent, make a small sample first. If you like it, make a larger batch. You can always add more oils to the mixture later. 10 ml Roller Bottle
Fractionated Coconut Oil or Almond Oil
6 drops Frankincense
6 drops Tangerine
4 drops Bergamot
4 drops Myrrh
Dried rose petals, myrrh resin, or colorful gems
Method
Add the essential oils to your empty roller bottle
If you have a dried rose petal on hand, add a few petals to the roller bottle with your essential oils.
Top off with fractionated coconut oil or almond oil. [4]
