Lemon Eucalyptus essential oil is derived from a lemon-scented blue gum eucalypti plant, a tall tree with smooth bark native to northern Australia. doTERRA sources the plant from Kenya. After 2 years the trees grow over 30 ft tall, reaching over 100 ft in full growth.

Lemon Eucalyptus leaves have been used traditionally to perfume linen closets, and to repel insects - especially cockroaches and silverfish. May help with asthma, athlete's foot and other fungal infections, colds, cuts, dandruff, fevers, herpes, infectious diseases, insect control, laryngitis, scabs, sore throats, sores, and wounds.
The wood of the tree doesn't actually carry a scent, but it's been found useful for telephone poles, railroad ties, handles for tools, furniture, and more. The flowers of the tree provide much needed nectar to busy honeybees bees.

This was one that day on my shelf for a while. It was still new to me when this oil came out in 2019 through doTERRA. Once I reached out a little more and understand it's chemistry makeup, I've been cleaning the house more with it. Along with my doTERRA On Guard cleaner I now like to add 15 drops of Lemon Eucalyptus to my 16 oz Glass spray bottle.
