Mental health might be the most difficult parameter of health to measure. While hours spent at the gym might result in your clothes fitting more comfortably, the benefits of being mentally healthy are sometimes slightly less obvious. Mental health is a broad category of health that includes the emotional, psychological, and social aspects of consciousness. A healthy mind emotionally and psychologically is better equipped to handle the uncertainties and stressors that arise in personal and professional life. From dealing with trauma to developing and maintaining relationships, having a healthy understanding of our emotions and mindset dramatically affects our ability to pursue opportunity and make decisions. While our mental health can be pre-dispositioned according to genetics and early life experiences, healthy lifestyle factors can dramatically support mental and emotional development. Benefits on a Molecular Level

Scientifically the chemical compound linalool, a molecule, has many researched benefits. Not only is the powerful constituent potentially soothing, but it also has cleansing properties. While Lavender essential oil has one of the highest amounts of linalool, you can also find linalool in Coriander, Cilantro, Basil, and Petitgrain essential oils.


Benefits of Linalool

When it comes to Essential Oils it's all about the chemistry. Experience the cleansing properties by applying topically. Help promote feeling of relaxation and calmness through aromatic use. Few examples how to incorporate Linalool to your life and daily routine.

  • Add a few drops of Lavender or Cilantro oil to your DIY all-purpose surface cleaner for added cleansing power and a refreshing scent.

  • Put a few drops of Cilantro oil in a Veggie Cap or try adding Basil oil to your favorite Italian dishes to support a healthy circulatory system.

  • Diffuse Basil or Petitgrain along with your favorite oils each morning to help keep you relaxed throughout the day.

 

Our society teaches us down time is looked down on. Our body is stressed and struggling to keep up with homeostasis. The hormonal response to the flight or flight from stress from work is toxic to the body. It’s a chemical down poor, chronic long stress causes physical depression and after so long can cause emotional depression. The body is worn down and telling you to slow down.

  • Roman Chamomile - is known for its calming effect on the skin, mind, and body, promotes courage.

  • Peppermint - By combining Wild Orange and Frankincense essential oils with Peppermint oil’s soothing properties, the blend becomes an aromatic powerhouse that will have you feeling relaxed and energized for the tasks ahead.  

  • Black Spruce

Black spruce is one of my ultimate favorites. After learning and researching more on Black Spruce and it's benefits I do not want to ever be without. It creates the feeling of balance, relieves emotional block. It's a grounding oil and stabilizing, of all the grounding oil the spruces are most effective, helpful for times of crisis, shock and trauma, deal with fear, and generational fear due to DNA such as alcoholism, addictions. The negative emotions it helps with is feeling of depleted, fearful, unstable, exhausted, dysfunctional in those generational patterns. Positive emotions it helps with is feeling more stable, resolute, grounded, and balanced. Black Spruce is also found in the Balance Blend.

Emotionally: traditionally detoxifying and cleansing, helps with emotional and physical toxins and pestilence. Helps your body naturally purge emotional and physical toxins. Helps straighten your course and turn to things that lead to better outcome. Negative emotion it addresses is toxic-ness, sluggish, stagnate like you are not going anywhere, imbalance and unhealthy. Positive emotions that celery seed helps bring out restored, cleansed, well balanced, realigned, committed.

 

Recipes


Roller-ball Recipes

Liquid calm

  • 10 ml roller bottle combine

  • 10 drops of Serenity

  • 10 drops of Balance

  • 10 drops of Vetiver

  • top it off with FCO (fractionated coconut oil) apply on back of the neck and shoulders and feet.

Sleep - If having trouble sleeping try this blend

  • in a 15ml bottle combine

  • 15 Lavender

  • 10 Vetiver

  • 10 Clary sage

  • 5 Frankincense

  • 5 Ylang ylang

  • 8 Roman Chamomile

  • 5 Wild Orange

  • topped with FCO and roll on bottom of feet.

Stress Less

  • 10 drops of Lavender

  • 10 drops of Frankincense

  • 10 drops of Peppermint

  • Combine in a 10ml roller bottle and top it off with FCO and apply either on back of neck, on wrist, or bottom of feet throughout the day as needed.


Epsom Salt Bath Soak Recipes

Refreshing & Calm

  • Add to 1/4 cup of Epsom salt of either recipe

  • 5 drops Petitgrain

  • 5 drops Ylang ylang

  • 5 drops Wild Orange

Relaxing Epsom salt recipe

  • 5 drops or Petitgrain

  • 5 drops of Lavender

  • 3 drops of Fennel

  • 2 drops of Wild Orange

Good Morning Sunshine Epsom Salt recipe

  • 4 drops of Rosemary

  • 6 drops of Grapefruit

  • 5 drops of Petitgrain


Diffuser Blends

Stress Relief

  • 2 drops each

  • Petitgrain

  • Clary sage

  • Lavender

Evening Relaxation

  • 3 drops each

  • Petitgrain

  • Cedarwood

  • Lime

After Dusk

  • 3 drops of Petitgrain

  • 3 drops of Wild Orange

  • 2 drops of Clary sage

  • 3 drops of Balance

  • 3 drops of Petitgrain
