Snowman ⛄ DIY Bath Salt
This was a fun and easy DIY Christmas gift. I happen to have a lot of felt so I started by cutting out the little snowman pieces. If you don't have felt you can use paint as well. I had an empty jar from our spices so I decided to use that. After I got the wrapper off the jar and all cleaned up here are all my pieces laid out.
Side note: to remove the sticky goo from the wrapper I make a paste with baking soda, vegetable oil and lemon essential oil. It wasn't a very big surface area. So I used the following
A tsp baking soda
1/4th tsp of vegetable oil
2 drops of lemon essential oil.
Apply to the area to remove the goo. I let it set to dry up for a few minutes. Then take my rag and wash off. Sometimes takes a couple applications.
Now the assembling can begin! I started with the hat. I hot glued the brim to the lid.
Next worked on the outer piece of the hat and got glued around the edge. A little tip.... I would go ahead and have the lid screwed onto the jar to see where the ends meet and line up so it would appear in the back before glueing the face of the snowman.
Now the outer piece is all glued next is to add the top piece of the hat.
The hat is all completed, time to glue on the rest of the pieces to the jar!
Time to make the bath salts to fill the jar.
For this batch I made "Soothe Your Troubles" blend. You'll need 1 cup of Epsom salt and add that to a bowl then 15 drops of essential oils. For this blend calls for:
4 drops of Lavender
4 drops of Roman Chamomile
4 drops Cedarwood
3 drops Lemongrass
Once you have mixed the ingredients well then add to your jar. To use add 1/4-1/2 cups of the Epsom salt to warm bath water and enjoy.
