Fall/Winter 2020

Let's talk about essential oils that can be used as a Valentine's Day aroma or for balanced Valentine's Day purposes.

Rose Touch and Jasmine Touch. These are two of the most exquisite of essential oils truly, and we're going go through each one, a little bit more detail, and a few other oils, as well.

Rose Oil

According to an old Persian saying Rose is the only thing you can take with you when you die because it's not of this world.

There you go, that's why it's a Valentine's Day gift, right? The Bloom has totally achieved the prime status, when it comes to romance. A symbol of love and devotion and so Rose has a lot of history.

Rose Touch

Rose Touch is diluted partially with coconut oil.

Fun Fact: doTERRA sources the rose oil from the fields in Bulgaria. A five ML bottle of pure rose oil takes 242,000 Rose petals to make a 5 mL bottle, that is approximately 8000 Roses.

  • The "Queen" of oils

  • Supports a healthy immune response

  • Supports healthy rejuvenation of nerves - helps with neurological challenges, brain activity

  • Helps balance moisture levels in the skin

  • Promotes healthy brain activity for Children

  • Reduces the appearances of skin imperfections - the appearance of age spots and wrinkles going away. The appearance of scarring.

  • Stimulates feelings of happiness and contentment after childbirth - boosting self-esteem, confidence, and mental strength.

Where and How to use the oil?

Especially in the touch format, with the coconut oil, it can be put really anywhere, anywhere on the skin. It's so soothing and so great. You don't have to worry about it, like you do with a hot oil, like with cinnamon, or on guard, or oregano, where you do have to be cautious where you're applying this. So, feel free to apply pretty much anywhere necessary. Use this as your personal fragrance, behind the ears, on the wrists, inside the elbows, on the decolletage.

Jasmine Oil

Jasmine is my absolute favorite. Jasmine is a little bit more floral.

Fun Fact: This Jasmin is sourced from Egypt. It is an absolute.

What is an Absolute?

So, what that means is that its distillation process is a little bit different. It is extracted by using a grain alcohol, to gently remove those volatile compounds that are there from the petals. It takes a full day and a half work, to collect enough petals to produce a five ML bottle of pure Jasmine oil. It is a pretty intense labor to produce this five mL bottled of oil, of 21,000 petals.

It is also all things skin. It's another great skin oil, immediately uplifting to the mood.

  • Uplifts Mood - relaxing to the mind

  • Reduces the appearance of skin imperfections

  • Promotes a healthy-looking, glowing complexion

  • Massage onto abdomen during menstruation or labor for deep relaxation - great for spasms like muscle spasms or stomach cramps

  • Helps maintain blood pressure levels already in normal range - because of the calming effect

Rose Touch and Jasmine Touch are perfect and can be used in conjunction with Valentine's Day. I personally use Jasmine Touch as my preferred fragrance, behind the ears, on the wrists, inside the elbows, on the decolletage. I also like to roll Jasmine along my adrenals to give them support they need going into the workday.

For those who are newer, and seeing how expensive these two oils can be. The intense labor that goes into producing these pure essential oils goes back to the small farmers and distillers. This is not a mass production farmers or distillers. We support family-owned businesses. Black Spruce

But there's a few other oils I want to mention and this one is actually one of my top five favorites probably because I just love the aroma so much. I'm a big fan of all the tree oils. Maybe some of you can relate. This is black spruce, essential oil, and it comes from the black spruce tree, as you might imagine. And it has just this most wonderful aroma.

Key Benefits:

  • provides soothing relief to the skin

  • Offers a calming, relaxing aroma

  • Promotes feelings of clear and easy breathing

  • Soothes minor skin irritations

Fun Fact: Luxurious Self-Care. For a deeply soothing bath, add a few drops of Black Spruce and Epsom salts to running water.

Impact Fact: This is actually source from Canada. So this is a Canadian oil, and what's really fun about this oil is it's actually a byproduct of the lumber and paper industries. They take the black spruce trees and make lumber out of them, and for a long time that bark was just being discarded, we actually take the branches and needles and bark that's left behind and we steam distill this beautiful black spruce essential oil. And it is great for the skin. It's great for respiratory support.

Its main chemical compound, is Bornyl acetate, which promotes relaxation and calmness instantly. So this is one of those oils that you can breathe in. And you just feel the stress kind of melts away. During work I diffuse Black Spruce and Adaptiv oil together because I really do feel I breathe easier, I don't feel as stressful and able to handle the workday with ease.

In regards to our theme Valentine's Day, for the men in your life. If he happens to be struggling, maybe a little bit with his "T" level's, try an application of black spruce on the left outside ankle, apply on both feet along with a little bit of Sandalwood. Also smells amazing!

Emotional Aromatherapy Line

Most of you are probably familiar, or many of you are familiar with, the emotional aroma therapy line. And this is a blend of essential oils. They're all blends that work chemically to acquire to help the body respond in a particular way emotionally. And they're all fabulous, and we have a class just on these six oils. We're gonna focus with our Valentine's Day theme, you can probably guess which one, we're gonna talk about, and that is passion.

Passion has such an amazing aroma. I love how they've worded this here that it ignites feelings of excitement, passion and Joy. Let me tell you why that happens.

Cardamom is in there because it has so many great uses, digestive, mood and gastrointestinal balances. But, in this blend, it's presence is to uplift the mood and Sandalwood that is grounding. Jasmine helps create the mood. Damiana is a very interesting oil, also known as Mexican Holly, and it's been used by the native Mexicans, including the Mayan Indians to support normal sexual response and men and women. And of course, vanilla it's just like liquid chocolate. This is great to diffuse, smells amazing.

The passion blende, also ignites passion for life in general. If feeling stuck or feeling just kind of blasa, this aroma as well as the motivate blend, helps to really give that kick in the pants, if you will, and get you out and doing instead of feeling lethargic and sitting. I have this one by my work desk when I have big projects due, I'll roll this along my pulse points to ignite that inspiration and drive until I have completed my task.

Ylang Ylang

I love this one. This one is also a very floral aroma. If you've ever seen the flower's, these uniquely Star shaped yellow flowers and this oil is used very heavily in the perfume industry and in aroma therapy and in hair and skin care products.

Ylang Ylang is harvested in Madagascar and you can see some pictures from one of our recent harvest there, it's such a beautiful process. It has to be distilled within 24 hours of harvest or it loses its aroma. So we work with the local growers there in Madagascar to ensure that distillation units are close to the harvest locations. So that the flowers can be distilled quickly, right Because we don't want to lose those aromatic compounds and so it's a beautiful oil.

Sandalwood (Hawaiian) Essential Oil

In fact, Hawaiian Sandalwood has been re-labeled, and the new formula is now called Iliahi Hawaiian Sandalwood. We also have Idian Sandalwood.

Key Benefits:

  • Promotes healthy-looking, smooth skin

  • Helps create a positive atmosphere

  • Provides a grounding, meditative aroma

Fun Fact: Skincare Extraordinaire. A skincare regimen that included topical use of Hawaiian Sandalwood has shown a reduction in the appearance of blemishes and support for overall skin health in human clinical research. Use it in your daily skincare routine to encourage smooth, healthy-looking skin.

Impact Fact: Hawaiian Sandalwood essential oil is sustainably sourced from the doTERRA-owned Kealakekua Mountain Reserve (KMR) on the Big Island. Thanks to the demand we've created Iliahi, KMR is now home to the largest reforestation effort in the history of Hawaii.

We've been able to plant sandalwood trees throughout the area of KMR on the Big Island to reforest it. It used to be a massive production in the past history. There was a lot of sandalwood trees on the island and they were over harvested and largely wiped out. And so, we have now successfully planted thousands of these trees to repopulate the island and it's a native tree. It's super, super great.

The emotional standpoint for sandalwood, whether it's Hawaiian sandalwood, or the Indian Sandalwood. When you diffuse this oil or when you put it under your nose, it helps you move emotionally from a space of feeling uninspired, too feeling devoted. So whatever that area of your life may need to be devoted to, your faith, to your spouse, to your family, to your career, whatever it is. If you don't feel like you have that devotion, if you feel like you're uninspired or stuck, then you might look at the Iliahi, as an option for that.

So many struggle with depression and anxiety in all age groups, and all populations. We all have different situations that occur during our lifetime and it's so important to me to help others feel whole and feel well. The amazing thing with these oils as we're breathing in these volatiles or aromatic compounds right from the bottle instantly can change how we're feeling. The volatile compounds go right through the olfactory bulb and right through the blood brain barrier and directly into the brain. We are individually unique, one can really have an immediate result, and feel better within seconds, for another it may take a little longer, everyone is different, and every issue is different. But the fact that you can empower the human body with a tool to be able to do miracles, do amazing things with it, is so inspiring. When applying the oils topically they absorb into the body within 20 seconds, providing the body the support it needs. I have truly had such amazing experiences and even seen so many miracles, and so many lives changed because of what these essential oils do for people if they're willing to just try.
